Escambia Storm Update

Escambia Associational Disaster Relief Coordinator Peyton Williams has reported that their disaster relief unit responded to damage from the March 16 storms and they provided immediate response to the local area as needed. He said if there is a need for additional support of DR resources he will not hesitate to ask for help.

Jake Bondurant, pastor of Canoe Baptist in Escambia Association, reported that their church sustained roof damage and water damage in the sanctuary and throughout the church. A group of men in the church acted quickly to get tarps on the roof and they are awaiting word from the insurance company related to the rest of the damage. Jake said, “Thank you for your prayers. It means a lot to us. While yesterday was difficult, I can already see God at work. There is something about working on the roof in the pouring rain that can really bring men together!”
