An army of volunteers raises a wall on Saraland’s Celeste Road Baptist Church’s new building. More than 200 volunteers from several states, organized through the Office of Global Missions at the State Board of Missions (SBOM), arrived in Saraland on June 15 and worked the following week to frame and dry-in the church. The Mobile Baptist Association church was destroyed by fire October 20, 2013, and has been meeting in two mobile chapels provided by the SBOM. The next construction phase will be July 13–19, with a team of churches primarily from Tuskegee-Lee Baptist Association installing drywall. Eddie Holmes is pastor.
