North Alabama Damage Update

Alabama Baptist Disaster Relief Strategist Mel Johnson is reporting that roads for some areas areas are still being cleared to gain access. Teams in St. Clair and Calhoun are engaged this morning with their crews.

There is anticipation that there will be some work to be done in Marshall and Etowah too.

Kilpatrick has been hit hard. This particular area has a large Hispanic population, thus we are working to engage Hispanic chaplains for the area. This is developing and more will be known later this morning.

Skid steer teams are on alert to deploy as requested by chainsaw crews.

Today will provide a clearer picture as assessment and crews move into the impact areas.
