Disaster Relief
Please pray for Alabama Baptist Disaster Relief volunteers as they help those who are hurting by laboring on site through ministries such as chainsaw operations, admin, chaplaincy, shower/laundry, and feeding operations.
Every member of the Yellow Shirt Army is a trained witness, so pray that the Gospel will be spread even as highly practical help is offered to people in need.
If you wish to contribute to relief efforts, please know that 100% of donations will help people whose lives have been affected in areas of need.
None of the donations are used for salaries or other overhead. The Cooperative Program has already provided for the ministry infrastructure that makes possible the quick deployment of Disaster Relief volunteers and equipment.
Your gifts will bring help and hope in Jesus’ name.
Anyone who wishes to contribute may send a check to:

Venezuela Relief
In the wake of two devastating earthquakes that affected Venezuela on June 24, Southern Baptists are mobilizing field personnel and working with the National Baptist Convention of Venezuela to provide necessary resources. They are not asking for volunteers at this time. The most effective responses are praying and giving.
All funds donated for Venezuela relief through the Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions will be forwarded to the International Mission Board to be used in the affected areas. Please pray for the survivors, the responders and local churches seeking to meet physical, emotional and spiritual needs in Jesus’ name.

Alaska Storm Relief
During the week of October 12, 2025, a huge and sudden storm and its aftermath struck parts of Alaska. According to reports, more than 1,500 people were displaced, and many homes were swept out to sea. One observer characterized it as “pure chaos out of nowhere.”
Your State Board of Missions, on behalf of Alabama Baptists, is sending disaster relief funds to support Alaska Baptist relief efforts in affected areas and help to those who had to leave their homes and communities. Pray for Alaska Baptists as they seek to minister in the name of Christ. In addition, the Alabama Baptist Yellow Shirt Army stands ready to help.
If you wish to donate to relief efforts, please know that 100% of the donations will be entirely in addition to what has already been sent from Alabama Baptist Disaster Relief funds.
None of the donations are used for salaries or other overhead, either in Alabama or Alaska. The Cooperative Program has already provided the ministry infrastructure that makes possible the quick deployment of Disaster Relief resources and ministry to affected people.
