Childcare

Picture5aDisaster Relief Children’s Response Teams play a key part in disasters by providing a safe and loving environment for children who have experienced crisis. Childcare ministry is an opportunity for volunteers to use their gifts and talents to impact   both parents and children alike with Christ’s love during the days following a crisis event.

Alabama WMU is passionate about connecting with Alabama Disaster Relief through childcare ministry.  Trained volunteers are ready to respond when hurricanes, tornadoes, floods or fires occur and are able to assess the needs of the situation. Providing care for children while parents attend to damages, paperwork or other  situations that may arise offers help to families as they begin to recover and rebuild.

Sometimes the smallest touch can provide the biggest blessing.
