Volunteer Training For Level One Responders

Level One training is a compressed, generic training course, and is only intended for those Alabama Baptist Volunteers who are not currently trained in a Disaster Relief field.

Please Read The Following Carefully:

This training is open only to members of churches affiliated with the Alabama Baptist State Convention.

You must be in good health and physical condition.

You must be able to respond quickly to a callout.

You can expect be deployed for at least one week, two weeks if overseas.

You must have personal health insurance.

You will undergo a Personal Background Check.

You will need a current passport and immunizations to serve overseas.

When deployed, you will be responsible for all preparation, travel, and deployment expenses .

When deployed, you will need to bring a sleeping bag and pad, personal items, and clothing for at least a week.

Food is sometimes provided, but you will want to make provisions should none be available .

Most likely, you and everyone else will be sleeping in very primitive conditions.

Showers and sanitary facilities may be nonexistent.

As a Level One volunteer, you will be assigned to assist DR trained volunteers in any one of the Disaster Relief fields.

The cost of this training session is $45.
